Moving an osCommerce store, in general, is not a complicated task, but it is more difficult than the basic setup of an osCommerce site. It requires a steady hand and a checklist to make sure everything is completed. Here is my checklist to help you out if you need to move your site.

Sometimes when you install a new osCommerce module, either a payment, order total, shipping modules, it does not show up in the store. If you are a programmer you may have noticed that modules file name is not being included in the “installed” constant like MODULE_PAYMENT_INSTALLED, MODULE_ORDER_TOTAL_INSTALLED, or MODULE_SHIPPING_INSTALLED.

There are varying steps that you can do to get access to your system. I can not cover all of the ways that your osCommerce site may be step, so if these methods to unlock your site do not work for you, contact us and I can help you. It will cost you $100. First check to see if the version of osCommerce that you are using has a “Forgotten Password” link on the Administrator’s login screen. If it does you are in luck, select that link and put in your login name (your email address) and press “confirm”. A new password will be sent to the given email account.
